Who can get a red wine stain out of my carpet in Austin?
Bailey & Bear Cleaning removes red wine stains from carpet in homes and businesses across Austin and about 30 miles around it. We treat the spot with hot-water extraction plus an enzyme cleaner. Call or text 512-689-8346 with a photo, and we tell you honestly whether an old, set-in stain is likely to lift.
What should I do in the first few minutes after a wine or blood spill?
Blot, do not rub. Press a clean white cloth or paper towel onto the spill, work from the outside edge toward the middle, and lift as much as you can. If you add water, use a little cold water. Never apply heat, skip store-bought stain sprays, and text us a photo.
- Blot from the edge in. Rubbing or scrubbing spreads the stain and pushes it deeper into carpet, cushions or a mattress.
- No heat. Keep hair dryers, irons and hot water away from the spot until the crew sees it.
- One thing at a time. Do not layer sprays or home remedies, and never mix cleaning chemicals.
- Blood or vomit in a shared space? Keep people away from the area, close the restroom if you can, and wear disposable gloves if you have to touch anything.
- Take a photo. A clear picture of the stain and the surface lets us scope it before anyone drives out.
Can you get blood out of a mattress?
Yes, mattresses are one of the surfaces we treat for blood, along with carpet, upholstery, hard floors and grout. We use hot-water extraction plus an enzyme cleaner. We make no promise of full removal on old, set-in stains, so text a photo of the mattress to 512-689-8346 and we tell you what to expect.

Which surfaces do you clean wine and blood stains from?
We treat wine and blood stains on carpet, upholstery, hard floors, grout and mattresses. That covers a rug or wall-to-wall carpet after a party, a sofa or dining chair, tile and other hard floors, the grout lines between tiles, and a mattress in a home, rental or guest room.
- Carpet: wall-to-wall carpet and rugs
- Upholstery: sofas, chairs and cushions
- Hard floors: tile and other hard flooring
- Grout: the lines between floor and wall tiles
- Mattresses: homes, rentals and guest rooms
How do you remove wine and blood stains?
Hot-water extraction plus an enzyme cleaner. The enzyme cleaner works on the stain itself, and hot-water extraction pulls the cleaner and the loosened stain back out of the fibers or grout instead of leaving it to soak in. Before treating anything, we look at the stain, the surface and its age.
Will every wine or blood stain come out?
No, and we say so up front. There is no promise of full removal on old, set-in stains or on delicate fabrics like silk and wool. A fresh stain that has been blotted, not rubbed, gives us the most to work with, so call or text early and send a clear photo.
Who cleans up vomit and blood in a bar restroom after an event?
Bailey & Bear Cleaning does. We clean up bodily fluids, vomit and blood in restrooms and after events at bars, venues and other commercial spaces in Austin. The crew removes the mess, cleans and disinfects the surfaces around it and takes the waste out. Call 512-689-8346: 24/7, crew availability confirmed on the call.

Do you do biohazard cleanup in Austin?
Yes, general biohazard cleanup with a clear scope: bodily fluids, vomit and blood in restrooms and after events. That is the whole of it. If what you describe on the call goes beyond that scope, we tell you so plainly rather than take the job, and you can call or text 512-689-8346 to check.
Is stain removal its own visit or part of a cleaning visit?
Either one. Stain removal can be its own call or part of a cleaning visit. Book it on its own for a wine spill on a rug or a blood spot on a mattress, or add it to a move-out, deep clean or event cleanup we are already scoping, so the stain goes into the same written scope.
Stains often turn up during a move-out clean, a make-ready or turnover, or a venue cleanup after an event. Mention them when you book and they are written into that visit.
How does a stain removal visit work?
Call or text 512-689-8346 with the address, what spilled, roughly when, the surface and a photo. We agree the scope with you before anyone touches the stain, and if a quote walk-through is booked, the owner does it. On site, the crew treats each stain with hot-water extraction plus an enzyme cleaner.
When should I call about a stain or a cleanup?
As soon as you have blotted the spill. Call or text 512-689-8346 any time: 24/7, crew availability confirmed on the call. Call early for a fresh wine or blood stain, before a guest arrives or a move-out inspection, and right away for vomit or blood in a restroom that has to reopen.
Are you insured for stain removal and cleanup work?
Yes. Bailey & Bear Cleaning carries general liability insurance, COI on request. If a property manager, venue or building needs the COI before the crew comes in, ask for it when you call or text. We have cleaned homes and businesses in Austin since 2017 and serve about 30 miles around it.
